Straight into my motherboard mate. As per sig.
The Nvidia controller is integrated into the northbridge, the available bandwidth is in the gigabyte per second range. That graph leads me to suspect that that controller is bottlenecking on the PCI bus, however someone actually more knowledgeable with the Nvidia raid controller can probably confirm/deny whether it is on the PCI,PCI-E or system bus.
Do that then run a long bench in HDTach. Is write cache enabled?![]()
The drivers installed are the ones for the mobo which I downloaded from EVGA.
You know currently 680i chipsets have problems with many fast HDD's and fast RAM.
It will say Raid access failour when I run my ram at 1066Mhz. I guess its the same with the fast HDD's. Wait a bit for a better Bios update and Nvidia drivers
TBH with 4 disks, I'd run RAID5 just for the peace of mind.
