£400 setup - could someone spec me up?

a mate has asked me to post a request for a £400 spec, he needs the lot (monitor, kb, mouse etc.) and the only thing he has specified is he would like 2gig of ram...

is this possible to spend this much and have something even half decent?

You could save another £10 or so by going for the OcUK 7600GT which is roughly on a par with the old 6800ultra. Not a bad card albeit a few generations out of date now.

True but it is even more expensive than both as well, I don't know quite how tight the budget it but generally I find at the lower end of the spectrum people can be less flexible about spending an extra 5-10%.
