£400 setup - could someone spec me up?

Hi guys,

a mate has asked me to post a request for a £400 spec, he needs the lot (monitor, kb, mouse etc.) and the only thing he has specified is he would like 2gig of ram...

is this possible to spend this much and have something even half decent?
 
It's certainly possible. Does he intend to play games on it? That might put a crimp in the proverbial hose.
