That is pretty close to me, I expect they were under the influence of alcohol when they tried it as the police didn't catch up with them until the following day.

I first found out about this from Radio 5 and had to wait for the next report to make sure my ears were not playing tricks on me.
Its bad enough people think walking on ice is fun...
On the plus side, we have one less 406 on the roads.

it is fun..
many people do where the ice gets strong enough.. if there's like -17 for a month or so the ice is like 4ft.. so you can easily take a car on it and have fun

they went out, got battered and came up with this great idea to drive the car on ice
it goes wrong and they scarper. the next day they wake up, badly hungover and have a hazy memory of sinking through ice. he looks out the window and goes DOH!!
