Im selling my inspiron 13z. to get the money for a gaming laptop. Just wondering if anyone had any recommendations?

A requirement is to work with Windows XP (friend wants to play some OLD games)

Ive looked at the MSI FX600, but lookinh at their website, it doesnt seem to have drivers for Windows XP (even though the FX400 does, and its essencially the same laptop)

Also looked at the Samsung R580, which looks promising, but for roughly the same price as the MSI FX600, the spec isnt as good, and im not sure if its worth getting.

Anyone have any other recommendations? Refurbished is fine.

Cheers.

I'd look at the Toshiba Satellite Pro L650 as well, with a HD5650. And you can probably get a Sony E in the same ballpark as well. But all of these are way over £450. If that is your max budget, it's gonna be tough to find a i3 + decent dedicated GPU at that price. Maybe in the Advent range, with an older (but fast) GPU and CPU.

The Samsung R580 is also quite popular. It's a good all-rounder. No idea about that MSI.
