Hi,

It's time for a new TV, my current one is a Toshiba 42" flat screen, cost around £800 and is about 8 years old, the last 5 years it's suffered screen burn on the Sky menu's and has what can only look like a ghosts shoulders and head burnt into the middle-top of the screen with male genitals sticking out from :D

Got about £450 to spend, no smaller than 42" as its ideal for the space it's in, a little larger would be ok but i'd say 50" would be the absolute max.

I've literally no ideas on TV equipment anymore, so, I come to you wise people. Any suggestions on a 42" decent TV?

I currently use KODI via a raspi as well, so it doesn't have to be a smart TV but if it was and could take kodi that would be great :)

i think the best value for money is hisense and buying from ao.com. look on HUKD for deals/vouchers, etc.

£450 isn't going to get you much if you go for a big brand name you will likely end up with one of their budget models which is very basic not great in terms of picture quality.

with hisense however you could probably get yourself a very good set with that kind of money.
