Hi,
Looking for advice/direction on where to go with clocking my 4770K on an mPower as i'm loosing my way a little. (BIOS 1.5)
Story so far...
All stress tests done with XTU.
CPU seems to be slightly better than the going average from what i can gather. [email protected] was completely stable (+XMP) & i could boot no problem with [email protected].
Over the course of the last few days i've been tuning the cpu only. I've left uncore at auto the whole way and reduced ram to 1333Mhz 1.5v with XMP disabled. RAM is G.Skill Trident X 2x8GB@2400Mhz.
I've managed to get [email protected] 8hr stable. I'm now trying to increase my cache multi but am stuggling with it. I initially set it to 1:1 with uncore at 1.245v. Managed to fail this from 48-45 and started to rethink the plan of attack. I've now set vcore slightly higher to 1.25v and kept uncore at 1.24v.
I'm now 1hr away from a 9hr pass with uncore at x40. Nothing great there! (VCCIN 1.9v, 1.92v on multimeter)
I've also had a play about with it at higher settings just to see if it has any potential to run higher. The 5.0Ghz shot below ran cinebench but couldn't run XTU bench, the 4.9Ghz ran both but not stress stable. The 5.0Ghz resulted in a rather rapid BSOD 101 with XTU. I'm sure the cpu has more potential locked away in it that it's at now but i'm not sure how to approach moving it higher.
I still seem to have headroom available temp wise though thanks to a delid.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Any more info needed just let me know and i'll fill in the blanks, also BIOS screenshots if needed. Vcore and vring by the way read about .02v higher on the multimeter. 1.27vcore/1.26uncore for 1.25/1.24 in BIOS.

I only use this rig for gaming, ripping audio cd's & surfing the web etc so not looking for 28.1 stable!
Recorded 32M at 6m33s, can't remember if that was on the 4.9 or 5.0! Should have taken a screenshot!
XTU has just passed the current config btw.
