Hey gang could you please help us out

I have a Transcend Jetflash USB stick, capacity=4GB. I was mucking about with some of the cool stuff on the Portable Apps website and kind of made a mess of things so I thought Id start out fresh and did a QUick Format in Vista and now Windows reports that my 4GB drive is just 62MB!!

In case youre wondering it was just fine before the format, Vista showed something like 3.8GB available.

What can I do to fix this? Thanks loads :(

Reformat it

I did! I tried another quick format followed by two "normal" formats. Both formats took less than 5 seconds. When Vista used to properly detect it as a 3.8GB stick a format took about 3-4 minutes!

I think Ive trashed something *sobs*

Disk Management in 7 and Vista are fairly robust, you can even scale partitions swiftly without issue!

Do a google for "HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool", get that and format the USB, hopefully should sort it out.

WIN :)

That fixed it, thanks IAmATeaf! Also mucho gracias to all of you for responding!!
