4gig usp stick showing as 1mb!?

Any ideas guys?

Its a 4gig stick but its showing a capacity of 1mb

Sometimes USB sticks have more than partition on them so u`re stick will show as E: drive an F: drive ..

the D: drive being the 1mb part
the E: drive being the 4gig part

this is so they can store utils an other stuff on the stick for u to use ...

have a look in your "My Computer" bit where it lists all ya drives , for EG:

A: floppy "if you have one"
C: windows xxx
D: CD Rom
E: should be USB stick
F: the rest of ya USB stick

Thanks mav, its my mates. He says it works like you said on his laptop (2partitions) but on his pc only the small 1mb parition shows. Any other ideas? I told him to try the rear usb ports if he is using possibly a front port.

Same OS on lappy and pc? Could be something to do with that
