4K OLED now down to £1800

That means the 930 has dropped £200 since I last looked, just 2 months ago. Excellent.

Have to say that at present, I'm thinking of replacing my DILA projector with an OLED when it dies.

I'm hoping my Panasonic plasma carries on for another couple of years and by that time OLED will be more mainstream and affordable. When shopping for a cheap LCD for the kitchen I was amazed by the vibrance of OLED - granted they were all in shop demo mode, but still very impressive.

My only gripe is the stupid obsession with curved screens. Please please let this go the way of 3D sets.

According to AVF its going to be getting HDR through a firmware update in the future.

Nonetheless... popped down to Curries and got one! :) Now I just need a cinema system... anyone tried the Cambridge Audio Aero 5.1 (£1k)?

Probably won't be putting much 4k into it for at least a couple of years. So is this OLED 'good' for gaming. I'd rather 'good' than 'ok', if you see what i mean. Also, it's available without the curved screen?

No idea. Don't play computer games so not something I've ever paid any attention to. I do believe LCD are better though.

The LG curve is less extreme then the Samsung. You won't even notice it after a while. This years OLEDS are flat, but the entry model is nearly 3k.

I think I need to go and see them both in action. I'm leaning slightly more to the samsung...but is HDR only a worthwhile thing if you're putting a 4k source into it?

I won't be buying for another month...so i've got time to decide :)

If only the 65" screens were cheaper.

Zero regrets going from my Panny plasma to my OLED, especially since it's been calibrated.
