HDR doesn't really work on an LCD screens because HDR ramps up the backlight to max which then really really hurts black levels, it will look OK under store lights but once you get it home under normal lighting and dark nights the blacks will look very gray and washed out.

AVForums have reviewed several HDR LCD sets with exceptionally good HDR performance. In addition, their review of the LG C6, published this morning, notes that, whilst the OLED panel may have a better ultimate black level, that doesn't translate to better HDR performance.

I take it you have never seen an OLED and LCD in the same room playing the same HDR content, if you had you would totally understand what I'm saying, but you crack on and believe what you want mate :rolleyes:

Yes the Sony and Samsung sets produce great HDR in nice bright movies until you are in a dark room with light and dark scenes on the screen at the same time, then there is no getting away from the FACT that with the backlight ramped up to the max(which it is in HDR) an LCD TV can not produce black all it can produce is dark grey, but you carry on with your LCD fanboyism
