I have a voucher code for 50% and one for £10 for the EA Store.
I just don't know what to get!

Any recommendations?
PS: Is the EA Downloader still crud?

think it's fair to say Dragon Age II will be a good game or maybe gamble on Bulletstorm ? I'd personally grab Shift II ...

Id be tempted by Shift 2/Dead Space 2. As for the EA downloader, used it not long ago and it was fine, lightweight client, unobtrusive and prefectly fine to use.

Depends how you define crud, the download speeds are good at least, and you can resume, which is basically all I want from a downloader.

I used the EA Downloader a couple of times before Christmas with no problems at all. Set it not to delete the installer then you can back up the files for future installation without downloading again (in most cases). It's no Steam but it's decent enough.

Use the EA downloader myself, really useful. I added most of my EA games to it and can now download any EA game I want wherever I am.

As for the vouchers, I can highly recommend Dead Space 2.

The downloaders been fine with me although there are some games that install directly so you don't have the back up install files. I think BFBC2 was the one but the eadm did pick up theinstallation when I had to reinstall windows so it was fine.

Well with 50% off I'd get the most expensive thing possible, is this the 50% off voucher if you buy DS 2? I decided to do that, and used a cokezone £5 off because I couldn't be bothered waiting for a cheaper delivery offline, the cheapest places have awful delivery and the decent places with next day del weren't any cheaper.

I thought it was a decent deal but have since realised it can't be used on a pre-order, and due to the shockingly poor Oct-Feb game release period for the PC, theres really very little on EA store thats worth buying, the new games I wanted to get are all on pre-order, and the 50% off is only up till late Feb 18th, so theres really nothing coming out till after then.

Most of the other stuff you'd want to buy is so cheap 50% off is a complete waste on them,

EA downloader isn't close to pants, its basic, but thats all it needs, they've added the store which is a shame as frankly I liked it better than steam because it was a downloader only, you could launch games through it, if you wanted, but theres no requirement to have it open to play games at all. Not a fan of how much junk Steam has now, nor that you have to have it open and wait for it to load and connect/try connecting before opening a game.

I'm really enjoying need for speed hot pursuit. Shift 2 is out soon which looks to be even better.

I can also vouch for the ME games and DAO if you are into that type of game.

Where do you get these vouchers from?
I have a £10 voucher for my birthday from EA, and 50% off voucher from a xmas competition.

I have ME2 through the xmas steam sales.
Shift2, Crysis2, DragonAge2 (have the first one and yet to play!) are all contenders.....

I am in an even worse situation:

I have the following from EA unused yet

Free game or item £50 off (can't be more than a single item)
50% off
20% off
10% off
£10 off

So which games do you recommend?

I almost got rock band for the wii before xmas but now EA don't list it (I have a wii as well - lol).

20% off from the free xmas game
£10 off from my birthday
10% off just random
50% off cause I bought a game last week for £10 :D
And the £50 off is because I bought a game before xmas and the download was broken for 24 hours so as compensation they sent a £50 voucher :D

Got to love EA. They may not have games as cheap as steam sometimes but their vouchers and compensation are great. I have never got anything from Steam fro not been able to download for 24 hours.
