Hey peeps,

A friend purchased an external 500GB LaCie P3 HD USB 2.0 7200RPM 8MB EU + UK hdd and the power source died and she has loads of stuff on it she needs recovering...

Can you unscrew the enclosures on these, connect it to a PC and save the info?

Or because its MAC you cant do it?

How can I save the info? Is it a case of getting a new power adaptor / supply for it?

Does it make a difference if its MAC and I want to connect it to a PC?

I am not 100% sure , its a friends, and I havent seen it yet.

She made reference to "whirling" noises...and said there was no power etc..
