Well it saves me £600 so I'm happy 
The reason behind it is that I do need the lens, but was planning on waiting. I went out again today to take some photos of the field in winter sun (it's cold!) and realised I needed the lens, and it's like buying a car you've never noticed on the road before. As soon as you get one you see them everywhere. In this case I was spotting shots left right and centre that required this lens.

Canon EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM
I've only found it on 3 sites so far. One is the jack of all trades pix' site, hdew & a site that I believe is linked to grey imports, onestop. Although I'm not sure and would rather avoid that if possible, especially as I'm not paying
