52 plate Astra Air Con?

My uncles air con condenser has apparently packed up, he's been quoted by vauxhalls i think at 300 quid. That's a bit steep! It's a 1.6 astra.

Any ideas on how much this part should cost?

300 sounds ok for a compressor imo.

Condenser, not compressor

. I was quoted £200+ (part only) for one for my Mondeo at a independent garage, got a brand new one off eBay for £65 and a quick look shows Astra ones about are ~£80 on there.
