Hello

I'm tinkering on what to do improve performance, i have a GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr, 1GB

I'm thinking of getting the same card but the 2GB version, Only because of the extra VRAM, Battlefield is eating up over a GB, and i'm getting about 45fps+ on max details, if got the 2GB version, will i still get the same fps or would it run more fluently?

I game at 1080p.

I will be selling my 1gb version.

Thanks

Pointless upgrde, wait for the next gen before getting a 2 Gb card.

A 2 Gb GTX 560 ti today isnt going to run new games any better in a years time than your 1 Gb GTX 560.

Just turn a few settings down for now if you have too.

I think he means that games in a years time will run just aswell on a 1gb 560TI 2gb as they would on a 560TI as the cards memory isn't a significant limiting factor for a 560TI's perfomance.

Not that it will not run games well in a year.

It may not but with the amount of console ports at present i doubt it for the majority of games.

Why would it not?

^^

I edited the post a bit to clarify what I meant.

1 Gb 560 ti > 2 Gb 560 ti isnt going to get you any improved performance for the investment, better to wait for something that will actually improve your performance and have 2 Gb Vram, such as the upcoming ATI 7870s or Nvidias equivalents next year.
