Hi Guys,

I currently have a Gigabyte 560ti OC gfx card with an i5 and Asrock Extreme 4 Gen 3 mobo and win 7 64bit.

I can currently play BF3 on ultra for a short time but then I get gfx glitches/jerking at 1920x1080.

My question is, if I was to buy another of these cards would I run smoothly on ultra or would I struggle still because maybe the vram is runnng low?

seems strange how I can play for a little while maybe 10-15 mins before problems occur.

Thanks for any advice.

Vram is not the deciding factor here. BF3/FB2 is just a very demanding game, especially with 4xMSAA (try running it with FXAA on instead of MSAA and you shouldn't get those lag spikes anymore). The 570 will run BF3 better if you overclock it, but the performance will probably be in the range of 15% better or something like that. An overclocked 560Ti will equal or even slightly outperform a 570 at stock speeds, so the difference between your 560Ti OC and a 570 will be negligible.

However, if you're still not happy even after switching to FXAA there's a thread on here with a guy talking about his 560Ti SLI set-up and he is getting 60 fps minimum on BF3. 560Ti SLI will outperform a single 580. Alternatively, you could wait a few weeks and get one of the new ATI cards which will likely outperform any of the current Nvidia cards.
