I got a nice stable 900/2190 overclock in GTA4 on my 580gtx phantom, but when i loaded metro2033 on the same settings it instantly throttled the card at the loading screen.

I realise now metro2033 is more graphically demanding than gta so should have set it up the other way round. But now i can see im not guna be getting far without disabling ocp.

Anyone offer any thoughts here? havent done any graphics overclocking for years now but this seems like something new, and cant find much solid info online.

What you need to do is download GPU-z. Then simply open and close the GPU-z each time you boot into OS. GPU-z has a built in anti-throttle for the 580GTX. You just have to do it once at the start of each session.
