5970 @1GHz performs similar performance to GTX 295 Quad SLI

Hardly - we already knew the performance figures more or less anyhow from 5850 and 5870 cf results so not sure why this is news.
 
Quad-SLI and Quadfire have always scaled terribly. TRI-SLI GTX 275/280/285 are faster than 2 x 295s; strange that you've never made a thread about that, though.

Remember now children, AMD/ATi have always "just happened" to meet Final8y's needs. He does not post thinly-veiled fanboy threads. He has no dog in this race, the man is a rock, a peerless pargon of unbiased exposition.

Or, ya know, the exact opposite of all that.
 
Conveniently not mentioning that the lumbering antiquated inefficent 295GTX quad SLI lump - which everyone knows is far from optimal - beats the 1GHz 5970 in atleast half the tests - by about the same margin as the 5970 beats it in the other half. Which isn't that unimpressive seeing as the 5970 is made up of 2 newer, higher performance cores compared to the 4 slower cores on the 295GTX quad SLI.

Also remember the nvidia setup is on very polished drivers and the ati ones are brand new steaming piles of poo.

My 5970 is not much faster than my 280SLI right now.
I have hopes though that the drivers will improve and ill add a 2nd 5970 when availability is better.

If drivers dont get good though at least I can buy the new nvidia card next year and sell the ati ones to some fanboys!

So you attacking me for posting a review that favoured the brand you personally don't like.
I have posted valid reasons many times but you ignore the valid points because it nulls your rants.

What's the price of unlocked Multi i7 again ?

If your willing to Pay i will happily use an unlocked i7 & put the AMD rig up for sale.
