The buyer shouldn't know that buying secondhand off ebay (or anywhere else) means no warranty...
it the risk you take if you want save money by buying stuff secondhand ;)
As far as I know...even buying hardware that are NEW from ebay should be considered as no warranty...as those random small shops on the bay could fold any given day, and the chances are they would not bother to deal with returns...

Help the guy out, its a no brainer.

To everyone else, if you don't want to offer after sale support with an item - make it VERY clear in your listing, and be prepared to expect a lower then average price.

Just remember, paypal offer buyer and seller protection, and charge backs can happen (avoid this route if at all possible) iirc up to 6months after the sale.
{edit}
paypal itself might be only 45days, but some credit cards allow charge backs when used with paypal, better to be aware.

Do you think the card would have failed after two months of normal use?

He could have killed it by overclocking it, or other means? And now taking a punt on getting a second chance.

Last year i RMA'd a faulty powercolor 4850 1GB through OcUK and it took around 5/6 weeks of e-mails to overclockers asking if there was any replacement card. Eventually overclockers e-mailed me to tell me that powercolor are rubbish with RMA's so they sent me a HIS 4870 512Mb that was on there B-grade section. Just thought i would warn you about powercolor RMA's.

Yeah. I suppose. This is why I hate using ebay. I feel sorry for the guy(i feel horrible)but like you say im not obliged to do anything. I will see what happens.
Thanks anyway guys.
If you really want to help I suggest you do. What I'd do is state that 2 months have expired and its now his card and nothing to do with you BUT that so long as he's accepting responsibility of whatever comes of the RMA process you will act as an intermediary party. Simple enough, your not getting the blame, your not paying the costs and if they say its done in then its done in and your not responsible.
It'd be good to at least give it a go for the guy.

I will give that a go. Thanks Insanites birth. Thanks all once again. Better to try the OC route. From what I have been reading elsewhere, (like you have said)powercolor arnt so great in Europe.

That's the best approach, it's open and honest and shows willing to help. If the buyer won't accept that then I really wouldn't go any further as odds are you will be out of pocket.
