Most likely, some things that have worked in the past for people are loosening the HSF and also checking the socket for any bent pins.

u need 64bit OS to use fully installed ram as 32bit Os is limited to recognize only 4GB ram.

An update on the 6.0 gig showing as 4.0 gig, Gigabyte rma department found a bent pin in the socket area.
I sent them my CPU/Mobo and ram and they tested it all on there rig
then sent me some pics back of a few screenies showing its all working again and are city linking it back tomorrow , they only recieved the board today at 12.30 ,amazing service from Gigabyte RMA department.

Great service from Gigabyte.

I had this same problem with a BIOSTAR TPower I55 4GB ram but only 2GB showing, turned out to be 2 bent pins and one snapped off on different parts of the socket.
