Hello all,

A friend of mine is looking for a gaming PC for his son who likes to play COD, FO4 etc. He's got a 1080p monitor at the moment, but will be getting a 4k TV next year. I know that with a 4K monitor that he'd need to spend probably more than he would want to. Is it the same with TV's, or is the TV able to upscale a lower resolution from the PC?

What would you recommend he gets right now in order to run 1080p? What would he need to spend to be able to get 4k? I think I need to let him know that 4k is probably not the way forward for him...
