6400 how much fast would an upgrade go ?

Looks like an even vaguer answer to a vague question.
If you mean, how much of an improvement will I see if I upgrade my intel e6400 processor for a different one, we can answer if you tell us what you use the computer for. Few of us spend all day calculating things, so raw cpu speed matters less than you might think

In my expert opinion, 6400 would give +340% improved fastness. Though upgrading to a 6500 would go up to 400%, but the price doesn't justify it. Though, I suggest linking two 6300 together to get similar fast for less outlay.
That said, this is all made irrelevant by 7400.
