6600K to 3700X

How much diff will I notice going from 6600K @ 4.2ghz to a 3700X. Just for gaming, BF V, PUBG, Tarkov etc.....

Will be matched with a 2060, 16gb DDR4. Was thinking of getting the 3600X but have seen the 3700X for £70 more and thought I would get a bit more longevity out of it. I also game on a 4K TV if that matters but play most games at 1080p and up the quality settings.

Probably a decent boost given the 6600k is 4c/4t. This architecture is starting to show its age now and performs poorly. You wouldn't need to upgrade for some time.

Any 4 core CPU should make the 3700X feel like a worthy upgrade, and regarding longevity, an 8c/16t CPU like the 3700x seems like a good choice unless you tend to upgrade every 2-3 years.
Since the Ryzen 4000 series (7nm+) will still support the AM4 platform, you could also plunk in a 3600, then upgrade that into something like a 12c/24t or higher Ryzen 4000 in 2-3 years after the Ryzen 5000 makes those prices drop nicely.

BF V will definitely benefit a lot from extra threads.
PUBG and Tarkov will like IPC and clockspeed improvement. Equivalent of overclocking your 6600k to 4.6-4.7Ghz

I've got a tomahawk max and 8pack 4133mhz ram, i ordered a 3800x black friday deal but then thought i'd need the money to pay for something else, turns out it wasnt broke but I'd cancelled the 3800x, CS said they would refund me the difference if I ordered again, but by the time I was ready to pull trigger I thought it was too late fml
