I was never really a fan of him, but when I heard that, my respect for him did leap up. I have a lot of time for people that can afford a joke at their expense. :p

And DeNiro laughing was just a golden moment. :D

Awh, she didn't win anything. Did get a Critics Choice award the night before though. Plus, I think there should be some sort of law passed in the US banning her from ever dying her hair again. I've looked, and I don't consider it a breach of the Bill of Rights...

Totally agree! Johnny Depp didn't look too happy - If he didn't like the abuse he shouldn't have made a film that was so publically slated :p

Yeah, but not as angry as Robert Downy Jr... And I would have expected him, of all people, to take it in good spirit.

Yeah exactly! The worst thing about Robert Downey Jr saying that stuff though, was the stuff he said after about sleeping with the five actress nominations he was announcing. He was saying about how Ricky lowered the tone and what not, and then he goes and says something like that. ¬_¬'
 
Never really liked Gervais, always looks so smug, but that opening was pretty good tbh. Shame the idiots across the pond have no sense of humour though.

Also glad RED won Best Comedy - exceeded my expectations - nice to see a very decent cast not paint by numbers and have some chemistry...

EDIT: Ooo The Social Network won Best Drama - thats a surprise, Social won everything it was nominated in except for the Actors awards - I dont think it will do as well on Oscar night...

Just to say I saw The Fighter today - now I understand why Bale won the Globe - well deserved...

When you see the real people during the end credits I honestly couldnt tell them apart from the mannerisms and dialect...
