6950 2gb Twin Frozr 11 and BF3

My full card is MSI ATI Radeon HD 6950 2gb Twin Frozr 11 and I am having trouble with the above game.I can play the single prayer great but the multi player well my record so far is 13 mins 25 sec before it crashes in my mind if the single player is player so well, the graphics are awesome then it cant be the fault of the graphics card.I wont tell you what I've tried to fix it there wouldn't be enough room here, and there seems to be a lot of crashes in this game looking at other forums. But I'm not angry over this I will just have to wait until and if EA/Dice sort it out. Just wanted to see if anyone else with this card is having any trouble with the game. Thanks for your time.

I'm running that card in my new rig, not had a single problem yet. 11.9 drivers, smooth as silk.

Its been said countless times, if you're playing BF3 on ATI you should be using the preview drivers (11.10v3) as 11.9 are not utilized for BF3

Thanks for the reply I'm pretty new at this but have spoken to other people on 11.10 drivers and they are saying the problems are still there. How does 11.10 drivers help with multi play not saying your wrong you know more about computers than I do I am just interested also because they are new drivers are they stable.

hi there, crashing as in the game just freezes and you get bf3 has stopped responding?
if so im sure this is the game itself.....i get it ocaasionaly and today i was on mumble with 5 other folks and 3 of us crashed at exactley the same time, using both nvidia and ati cards.........ive stopped looking for fixes as im sure this is a problem with the game......

I have never finished a MP game before it crashed my record is 13 mins 25 secs, I am just going to wait until the game is fixed.

Uninstall 11.9, do a sweep with driversweeper, do fresh install of 11.10v3 it's fixed it for most MP games crashing. In all fairness though, there was rumour official 11.10 would be out tomorrow anyway

it was no rumour, the Catalyst guy said so on Twitter!

Official Catalyst 11.10 release is coming next Monday (Oct 31) - which will pretty much just be WHQL version of the 11.10 V3 preview driver
