7/16" tubing very loose on 1/2" barbs?? Urgent help please

why do we now go for 7/16" and not 3/8" ?

If you use 7/16 tubing, but 1/2" barbs, then the fit is VERY tight. I've used a bit of masterkleer stuff in my build and I can vouch that it's a complete bitch to get off.

this is the way to go! no ties or clips.

Yessir, it's nice and tight, but you have to use clips

I'd go with compression fittings every time if/when I get round to a WC setup - I'm way too paranoid to trust a simple push fitting no matter how tight it is lol

Well from my experience so far of my new setup, barbs and clips work very well

From my experience this is a myth, if your tubing warms up it fires off the barbs in spectacular style and is also why I switched to using clips and larger id tubing (I recall having to warm up the tubing to get it on the barbs in the first place)
