Hi all it’s been 7 years since my last build and I’m a bit behind on the latest kit
I’m coming from A 3570k 8 gig of ram and a 1080 which has died.
This is what I’ve come up with any comments or advice would great>

AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor
Corsair H100i RGB PLATINUM SE 63 CFM Liquid CPU
MSI MAG X570 TOMAHAWK WIFI ATX AM4

Crucial Ballistix RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600
Crucial P1 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive
Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3080 10 GB Vision OC Video Card
Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini ATX Mid Tower Case
Corsair SF 750 W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully Modular SFX Power
It’s for gaming on my 65 inch tv it’s only HDMI 2.0 but I want 4K 60 FPS ultra settings.
I watch a lot of YouTube and play all my music through it as my system all runs through a receiver with 5.1 surround.
Nearly forgot I like my VR gaming flight sims ect.
Just noticed I didn’t add fans for the case any recommendations on type and number would be great if anyone has this case.

I'd probably go with 32gb ram and maybe a 5800X if you plan on keeping it for 7 years again before upgrading.

Firstly +1 to Joxeon’s suggestions. 4x single sided 8GB dimms is optimal for complicated performance reasons. Right now Ryzen is functionally limited to ~3.8 GHz, but should be able to hit 4GHz eventually, so it might be good to plan for that with 4GHz kits.

I did a similar build to you OP and thoroughly recommend the tomahawk you’ve selected.

However I don’t rate the H100i Platinum cooler highly and returned mine. Among other issues, the pump is audible quite at ‘silent’ settings (2000 rpm). Went for an NZXT Kraken Z63 as it has a next gen pump which goes from 800-3000 rpm and can be controlled with a custom pump profile. The cheaper Kraken X63 has the same functionality. Coolermaster’s AIO (forget it’s name) is cheap and also has a quiet pump.

I’d also consider stumping up the £50 extra for a good PCIe 4 SSD like the WD SN-850, Corsair P600 or FireCuda 520 as you’ve got PCIe 4.

Finally 3080s are near impossible to find. Using partalert on Twitter or the discord alternatives there are a lot of 3070s coming up though.

You have selected a small form factor psu, I would recommend swapping it for the Corsair 750RMX ATX psu as it will fit in that case. Not all atx cases have mounting for SFX psu, don't know if this one does.

The link to the case is broken for me and came up with the larger version. Yes the smaller version does take an ATX board and sfx so you should be good to go.
