Hi guys,

I bought a SE Z310i from 02 about a month ago for £50. I wanted a cheapish phone with as many features as I can get for that price, it was replacing a Samsung (another cheap phone I had). Unfortunately its a simple case of get what you pay for here as the phone is awful, the worst signal reception ever, cant seem to get it anywhere!

So I'm looking on ebay now for phones, whats the best phone for around £70?

Thanks!

I'd recommend a Sony Ericsson K750i. I think you can get it directly from o2 for £50. It's a good little phone, had mine for a year or two and it's still going strong although it's seen better days.

Thanks for that, and appreciate the email :)

The only thing I'm worried about is the anaolgue stick on these? I had the older version of the one you've recommended and the stick would be really unreliable and my girlfriend has the K800i and the same problem occurs with hers..

Is yours ok?

I've had mine for a year and a half, it's still working no problems. I've recent just took out a contract with a o2 and a K810i the updated k800i as i never had a problem with my k750i and if it does always got insurance :). I think for £50 it can't be beaten unless you get mates rates with a better phone.

I don't have a link handy but I know a few guys on this forum bought one of those dodgy Hong Kong mobiles off the bay and weren't too impressed with them. Crappy cameras and a lack of T9 predictive text were the main complaints.

I'd push the budget by a tenner and get that SE W810 from the highstreet retailer. Brilliant phone with a decent camera, half-gig memory card and- best of all- no joystick!
