7800 - Vanished from OcUK? No Sli for me?

Hi all. Been out of the loop for a while... what happened to the nVidia 7800 range? Was hoping to buy another XFX 7800GT LED Edition for some SLI action... but I can't find them anywhere?

I'm guessing OcUK no longer stock them... can anyone confirm?

If that is the case, I guess I'll have to sell my current XFX card or look else where...

7800s were replaced by the 7900s.

Sell it now while it still has value and get 2 x 7900's if you're set on SLi

Or sell it and buy a single X1900XT.

Thats the problem with SLi, new cards are released so fast that by the time you have enough money to buy a second card, its no longer available.

Im trying to save up the money to buy 2 cards at once otherwise I dont think theres anyway ill ever manage Sli!!!

If I Were you I would either look for an identical card in the second hand market, or sell your 7800 and buy an X1900

Yeah the 7800's were stopped ages ago, as said above they were discontinued when the 7900's came out.

So are these X1900 quite good then?! I haven't purchased an ATI card in ages. Can you x-fire those?

Yup x1900's are aweome, if you ge the XT you can easily clock it to XTX speeds so its about 1-2fps slower than the x1950 XTX, cracking cards for the prices, they can also do AA+HDR as well which Nvida cards can't, they also have better IQ to, only downside is they use more power, give out more heat and are louder than the 7900's, unless you go for the HIS ICEQ 3 SILENT Heatpipe one which is well, silent.
