my AGP 6800GT just died
- everyone say "arrrrr"
im wondering which to get:
Leadtek GeForce 7800 GS 256MB GDDR3 TV-Out/DVI (AGP) - Retail (GX-085-LT) £211.44
Vs
Gainward BLISS GeForce 6800 GS "Golden Sample" 512MB GDDR3 TV-Out/DVI (AGP) - Retail (GX-031-GW) £176.19
the thing that worries me is that the 6800 has double the RAM. But the 7800 has 16 pipes to the 6800's 12 pipes.
i would have thought the price jump settles which is better. but then again you get two top ranged games with the 7800 where as the 6800 you dont. so is the extra price just for the packaged stuff?
which one is better ?
PS im not moving over to DX10 or PCI-E for a long long time - a mixture of other things going on like Sandhurst tests
