What is the Difference between 7800GT and the 7800GT X ....is it worth the extra £££?

(im still deciding on whether to wait until thursday 2pm launch of 7900gt, but for the time being answer me the above please :rolleyes: )

the two cards i want to compare (if you have a benchmark link please post) are:

BFG 7800GT £205

OcUK 7800GTX silent £260
 
no it is not. the smart people buy 7800gts because there is only about 10fps difference for about £150 more. you can get 7800gts for £180 from auctions and thats before the 7900s come out and lowers all prices accross the board.
 
but the price difference isnt £150 anymore.
what resolutions will you be using the card for? if its 1280x1024 then go for the GT over the GTX, if its 1600x1200+ go for the GTX.
but for the sake of 24hrs, it really would pay for you to hold off really mate and see how things go.
 
i think im gonna wait... not sure if im selling my viewsonic 19inch 3ms yet... want a belinea 20.1 inch :) with new build and 7***GT* (yet to be decided)
