7800GTX - 7900GTX?

Worth upgrading from a XFX 7800GTX EE 256mb to a 7900GTX?

I mean, would the preformance increase be HIGHLY noticeable, and as far as SLI is concerned, is the £~8 or 900 worth it over a single card?

Simply dont want to wastse my money is all, if something much better is around the corner ill wait until thenw ith the 7800gtx, if not then...

i went from a 7800gtx to sli 7800gtx to one 7900gtx.
although i went from a 4400x2 to a 4800x2 at the same time, with my 7800gtx sli and 4400x2 I was pulling 7000~ marks in 3dmark06.
With one 7900gtx and a 4800x2 i've just crept into the 6k mark. All stock.

I will go out on a limb and say get the 7900gtx. its also a 512meg card.

Great if all you do allday is run benchmarking programs

Depending on what games you play and at what res would determine wether it's worth the upgrade or not.If you game at 1280x1074 for example then i would say no.

My SLI 7800GT's get me around the same, so I'd say go for the second 7800GTX
