7900GS SLi with a 480w psu?

Hey all,

I'm currently running a single overclocked Gainward 7900GS in my rig and I'm considering adding a 2nd, but I'm unsure if my current psu would cope.

I could get another 7900GS for around £80, but as my current PSU is only 480W with 2 12v rails rated at 18A and 15A, I'm not sure it would be stable with an SLi setup. That would mean a bigger psu which would add around £50 to the upgrade cost, meaning I might be better off getting a 2nd hand 7900GTX instead as the price would be the same ( around £130 )

( my budget won't stretch to a 8800GTS 320 just in case anyone suggets that )

Any advice would be appreciated.
 
Might be pushing it with 480w PSU tbh.... or maybe not, no ones going to be able to answer that question 100% for sure for you.
