Hey, all. I've recently bought a new rig (specs in sig), and have a very nicely overclocked 7950GT. I was wondering whether or not it is worth it to buy a GPU cooler and push it even further?

a) Will it go much further?
b) Is it likely I'll upgrade in the near future? Will DX10 games be coming soon enough to warrant an upcoming upgrade, or is it alright to wait 4-5months before seeing what's on the market and upgrading then. The only DX10 that mildly interests me is Crysis at the moment, but I've remembered reading so many times that it's going to be boring for multiplayer as Far Cry was.

So overall, is it worth buying a GPU cooler now, or waiting for a new graphics card?

Come to think of it.. it's hitting 61 tops under load. If I'm not mistaken, that's a fairly surprising temperature for a card set so high?

RivaTuner is telling me that my drivers don't want it going any higher. Anyone know of any other drivers (using the official nVidia ones at the moment), that will let me go further?

Well I doubt it will go much further, just wait for the likes of Crysis to come out or another price drop then I'd say upgrade to a GTS or GTX.

Makes sense. If my 7950GT isn't going to go much faster, I think I'll save myself the cost and just buy some RAM Heatsinks, as the stock fan seems to be doing a nice job keeping it at 61* - only the memory that could be getting a tad too hot since the modules aren't covered by the fan.
