8 PACK MEMORY RANGE GROWING: SAY HELLO TO 8 PACK RIPPED EDITION & 32GB KITS!!!

FFS had it in my basket but had a few things to do - gone up £30 :o.

is that for the ripped cl14 kit or the normal cl16, regardless of which kit it's still worth getting, as its lower than what overclockers will ask when it comes off offer, yes its very annoying, but gibbo did say those new kits would be at a special price until they came in stock.

Oh ignore my mini rant :o:p, still bought it (3600 C16) along with a 3700X :D. Selling my 1700 and Trident RGB C14 will take a nice chunk of the total cost as well. Just need to see if my CH6 can run at those speeds.

no worries, my 3600mhz cl14 ripped modules turning up tomorrow, see how they perform with my 3900x and x570 formula :D, finally got a shipping notification just before 8:30pm earlier :)

Ugh, mine just bootloop if I set them to XMP. I guess this 2700X isn't upto the task. :(

you'll find it impossible to hit 3600mhz on a 2nd gen cpu, the 2700x and the whole 2nd gen line up had really weak imc (integrated memory controllers) and most capped out at 2933mhz, if you were super lucky and got a golden chip the very best would be around 3200mhz at a absolute maximum.

regardless if you have the chip in a x570 motherboard because the chip is a second gen the max speed is still around 3000mhz unfortunately for ddr4, unless you swap to 3rd gen

It seems to do about 3100MHz, well i'm in the market for a well priced 3700X so I guess this RAM is one for the future. :)

i have 2 set of the ripped 3600mhz cl14 paired with my 3900x and its perfect, plug and play and no issues what so ever, very nice boost too :D

edit here is my cpu-z screenshot :)

Glad to see people getting on well with the new RIPPED kits. :)

Quality of heatspreader are in another league compared to competing brands and of course the timings are very aggressive and as such are priced very aggressively compared to similar premium B Die kits with similar timings.

amen to that they are some serous bits of hardware, i almost got a 500 point increase in heaven benchmark just by plugging them in, super happy and well done in making them, keep up the great work :)

Mine arrived the other day and they look solid, reeks of quality, tempted to take off the tops and paint them to silver though, haven't got my build set up yet to test them but hopefully soon!

@Gibbo There might be something wrong with how the XMP profile is getting read in CPU-Z for the C14 sticks. I don't think I have ever seen this before. Anyone got an idea?

Space Monkey posted this in the Memory section discussing the RAM which shows it might be on all sticks: TsDvGym.png

Not a massive problem since it appears like BIOS is reading the values properly but just interesting to see.
