£800 build no G card

ok need some advice, got a friend who has a old psu from 2007 - Tx650w corsair. He thinks it should be fine for a new build, but would it?

anyway spec him for £800 no gpu, has to be m.2 ssd, no case either and no os or cd rom. No monitor either

It would be really helpful if you said what the build was going to be for

I personally would not re use an 8 year old PSU. It is probably on its last legs

I have a 7 year old Corsair HX620 that died yesterday

No it won't. It likely won't have the right connectors on it to power the CPU, let alone GPUs. Plus, being from 2007, it may not be Haswell compatible, and most importantly the components inside may be starting to fail. A faulty PSU can destroy everything else in the PC - does he really want to risk it?
