8800 320mb GTS Feb 12th.

If thats the PSU ive just been looking at then its got no chance im afraid as its only got 18a on the 12v Rail, but i may have been looking at the wrong PSU, GTS needs about 26a on the 12v Rail, will either be on the box if you still have it, or on the label on the PSU itself.

That one won fit as its only for the x1k/7900 series, this one is coming out for the 8 series, not sure when though. :)

Just to clairfy, my S12 has 36a on the 12v? Amp requirement is calculated by adding the positive/negative?

One more question, mostly thinking of the future games.

Do people think this card will be enough for Unreal Tournament 3, ET Quake Wars, Command And Conquer 3, and so on at high detail @ 1680x1050?
 
Do u guy's think this card will bottleneck under my system?

1GB Ram DDR 400
520w power supply OCZ

PS I game in 1280x1024 only

Without a doubt. It all depends on how much you're willing to sacrifice FPS for eye candy however.

Yes. Get another stick of RAM and overclock that 4000+ near to 3GHz and you'll have a better shot at limiting that bottleneck.

Hmm, well the system I am running on is a E4300 @ 3.3GHZ, 2GB DDR2 RAM, P5N-E SLI motherboard.

I will be overclocking the BFG version of the card (hopefully to the 600 or so Gibbo mentioned earlier on in this thread).

I dont want to play at a million FPS a second, as long as it is a pretty consistant 60 FPS, with a smattering of AA/AF (say 2x AA at least).

You think that should be ok?

it is going to really shake the market up this £200 launch for a bfg so say knock £20 off for a cheaper version maybe £30 once they become widely available

nobody who is clued up will buy a direct x9 card unless it is under a £100 that leaves a lot of high end dx9 cards sitting on the shelf the only way they will shift is serious discounts

Are you drunk?, and DX9 is NOT dead, dx9 hardware might be coming to the end of its life but get off your high horse DX9 software is not dead as of yet.
 
Does anyone have any idea if this new gts has the hdcp problem like the rest of the G80's have? If it does, then why buy one? If nobody buys them Nvidia will fix this flaw asap!! To me it is a huge flaw, Vista is the dawn of the HD erra and you need HDCP working properly if you want to run it. I am going to have to go with ATI if this one isn't fixed.

Yeah good luck but the last delivery I had from them was last week and it showed as leaving the warehouse on the Saturday but it wasn't picked up until Monday and arrived on the Tuesday.
