8800 GTS 256MB in vista

when i was looking in the display settings, under the adaptor tab it says that the GTS only has 256MB dedicated memory and 768MB shared, when that should be saying 320MB dedicated right?

I have the same thing but it shows as 1024mb. It uses 320mb no matter what the screen says.

I was thinking this was about running the 8800 GTS in Vista, i was gona say no chance as there isn't a 256mb one.

Was a bug (one of many ) in the earlier Vista drivers mate, it's fixed in the latest beta's .

It was telling me available Video memory, something like 800+, 255mb shared and 640mb onboard, so is 255mb of my ram in Vista reserved?

I had the same problems with my ATi, but when I installed Cat 7.4 it got fixed. The ATi release notes mention some "way of vista operating system" involved, so we can assume is up to the driver.

do it loadsa its not too bad really Iv started gaming in vista now and i play the majority of games over there now
