8800 GTS 640 just died

My 8800 GTS 640 has no video output, fan not spinning, I think its safe to say its dead.

but what do I replace it with? Had not planed to change gfx card just yet.

was thinking of ATi 3870x2, but I was waiting for the Asus with the 2 fans to be released.

the other options are an 8800 GTX or an 8800 GTS 512.

When did yuou get it, you might be able to RMA dependong on manufacturer.

No RMA poss? .If not then its a simple choice IF you cant wait it out with the x800. X2 or the GTX cant see GX2 being any better that the X2.But unless its one of the three then your in for a few month wait not weeks.

Just realised its a BFG. will RMA it.

But now, the more I think about it, the more I want a new card

Requested RMA for my 8800 GTS 640 Tuesday evening
Posted my card to them on Wednesday
Friday(today) received my replacement, 8800 GTS 512

Now that's service

I was shocked at the less than 3 day (under 72hrs) turn around & the faster card just made my day
