8800GT Ramblings Thread

This card kicks ass!, I would pay 200 for this card lol, feels like a breath of fresh air from my 2900XT, in the other 8800GT thread I posted CSS Stress Test benchmarks.

Willhub any benchmarks yet on your Gainwood card yet mate? Mines been delayed till tomorrow now

Just a question, what is the HD dongle like? Is it a DVI to HDMI connector? or is it simply an adapter into the TV-Out which provides purely connections for the 3 video cables for HD playback?

ordered a Gainward but they over allocated so had to settle for the Gigabyte card instead, choose that over the Leadtek one but the geezer said over 95% are made at the same plant...Anyone got this card and if so what clocks they getting?

I get 700/1000 so far, thats as far as Ive gone with it so could do plently more yet. 70-77C @ 45% fan speed.

some people really are desperate, theres no way i would pay £176 for a OcUK GeForce 8800 GT with 1yr warrenty when you can get the EVGA GeForce 8800 GT for exactly the same price with a 10yr warrenty:eek:

What is the point in having a 10 year warranty? Who is still going to be using the same graphics card 2 years later, never mind 10 years?

Two different cards bcame out of stock in the space of a couple of minutes while I was trying to order mine. I had to settle on a Leadtek for £176.

I am curious as to how many other 640MB 8800GTS owners are getting a GT. I can get £160 for my GTS so the upgrade with transport will cost £20. I hope I will not regret this.
