8800GTS 320MB to a HD 4670 IceQ

Hey guys

I'm currently using an XFX 8800GTS 320MB and i'm thinking of changing it to a HIS 4670 IceQ Turbo, the reason being i hardly ever play games and powering this 8800 is pointless as i really only browse the internet and listen to music, so i want to lower the power usage without lowering the performance of my system.

How does the 4670 compare to my current card?

4670 is faster as long as you're not running too high of a res.

I'm currently using a 19" widescreen 1440x900, but in the future i will probably end up with a 22-24" monitor, will this cause the 4670 so suffer do you think?

Should be about the same, the 4670 is basically a much 'greener' 2900 Pro which was basically on-par with the GTS 320 for all intents and purposes, you might actually benefit from the extra memory in some scenarios though.

Seems pretty pointless swapping the cards then lol i suppose i can wait until the next surge of new cards arrive in the mean time!
