I currently have a 700w tagan and i dont think this will be enough to power 2 8800gtx's

So can anyone reccomend me a psu to power this :

EVGA 680i
intel core2duo e6600 @ 3.82ghz
2gb corsair dominator ram
1 x samsung cd/dvd sata drive
2 x 150gb raptors
Laing D5-Vario (1/2") pump
8 x 120mm fans
1 x floppy drive
2 x 8800gtx

No price limit.

thanks

tbh here is my theory,
dont bother
simply because all the companys are trying to make cards more "energy efficient" and all that jazz so in 6 months time you wont need a small wind farm to power your rig it will be back down to around 500 - 600 watts like it was before so in my oppinion just wait.

BFG sounds interesting, but they are new to the PSU industry, wouldn't risk 8800GTX SLi with it to be honest. Stick with a more trustworthy PSU brand such as enermax.

Could be made by a 'reputable' company like Corsair ones which are made by the best, Seasonic :p

/goes off to Google

2 x 8800gtx ?? are you mad?

Hope you have like a 30" monitor or something to make us of that power. I was reading also that there is no driver support for the 8800 in SLi. Could be wrong though.

if you have such a system and money is no object, then go for a 1000w + model like the Tagan.
Why not

But 42" TVs don't have high resolutions (typically 1366 x 768 or rarely 1920 x 1080) when compared to 30" monitorswith 2560x1600 resolution

Simply - unless you have a serious big monitor then your SLI GTXs would be wasted

Didn't think about that :o

But i already have the 2nd card :P

( i got the 2nd card v.cheap , thats why i said i might aswell put it on my 42")

It's a nice problem to have ;)

The top notch 42" TVs have about the same resolution as 22" widescreen monitors, so you should be OK with a single GTX on most games at the moment.

Or buy one of these and use them both in SLI!
