8gb, 6400 or 8500?

Can somebody help please im not adept at memory,

I'm looking to get 8gb of ram and im not sure if i should be getting 6400 or 8500.

is 8500 ok for 8gb?

with

q6600 -3.2g(360x9) atm i like a silent pc, i can also put it up to 3.6(400x9) stable but its abit loud with fan on full.
Asus P5K-premium.

So with no budget can somebody tell me the best choice? is 6400 reccomended for price? or for performance? is there a noteable differnce between

Can sombody suggest the best ram i can get, again budget not a problem.

PC2-6400 will be more than enough for a Q6600 that won't be running over 3.6ghz. You won't notice the difference between PC2-6400 and PC2-8500 at that speed.

Either two sets of this or this.

Or a set of this.

I have the 4*2 OCZ kit, it works great. Note that the price fluctuates between 99 inc to it's current high of 117... I got mine at the lowest by waiting a couple of weeks...
