Out of all the comps hosted by HWbot not only is the ASUS comp a very prestigious one its operated with a very different format to the rest. Different mainly in the way the teams of two are made up. Basically you pick your own team based on what position you finished in the qualifiers.
I won the qualifiers coming first in two of the benches required and top three in the final bench. Hence I had the first pick for my overclocking team partner. Given this opportunity I did not hesitate to pick Roman Der8auer the number one German overclocker and my college at CaseKing. Der8auer is not only a great overclocker but also one of the best hardware modders.
The competition is held in Moscow Russia over two days. The benches are mainly 3D in nature and the platform is X99. So ASUS R5E and 980 Strix will be getting a ragging.
Here is full information on the competition.
