Many on these forums and across tech media have been waiting for the new AM4 platform and Ryzen series of CPU with great interest. What Ryzen and the AM4 platform bring to the table is very good multi threaded performance along with solid single core and gaming results. These gaming results will only improve with further maturity in the platform and game coders making use of higher thread counts.

What Ryzen is about for many me included is this great level of performance is available on a full featured chipset at a truly competitive price point. For me this bundle is about taking this already great value product and making it even better by offering the lower level CPU which has the same features of the flagship model with a guaranteed overclock of 3.9ghz on all cores and initially 2666mhz memory speed to defeat the performance of the flagship model at stock by several percent across a wide range of applications.

The AM4 platform being relatively new I have kept the memory speed at 2666mhz as guaranteed but will update the OC profiles to 3000mhz+ as soon as I am confident no issues will occur on successive reboots or cold boots. I will also continually update the OC profiles on both the option MB's too to take advantage of any additional performance gains.

So the components in the two bundles I am offering are as follows and have been tested from very early revision to ensure full compatibility and performance. I am also pushing the vendors for continual improvements to Bios on these two boards so expect improvements with time. As is the bundles are solid in stability with Real bench as the main test being used to establish stability.

AMD Ryzen [email protected]
ASUS Crosshair 6 Hero or AsRock Taichi X370 motherboards
Team T Force Dark 16gb (2x8gb) 3000mhz DDR4 memory running initially at 2666mhz.
Thermal Grizzly Kyonaut thermal paste.
Asetek 240mm AIO cooler with Silverstone OCUK watercooling fans for high static pressure and AM4 mounting kit.

Here are some pics of the bundle:

So lets see how the 1800X performs at stock on R15, Real bench and Firestrike.

and how the Asrock Taichi X370, [email protected] bundle performs:

And how the ASUS CH6 bundle [email protected] performs:

and finally the extra performance to be gained by 3000mhz which I will update the profile when cold boots are 100% fine as is I have included a 3000mhz profile but as I have pointed out end users may have cold boot difficulties.

As you can see from the results these bundles across the board offer great value with the 1700 continually outperforming the 1800X by several percent!!

These bundles are very easy to set up. Mount the CPU, Cooler and memory plus VGA of your choice (I of course suggest RX480 or 1070 up, up, up, up!!!)

I WILL INSERT A VIDEO HERE ON HOW TO INSTALL THE COOLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you require 32gb of memory I have tested this and simply buy an extra kit of the memory below giving you a 4x8gb configuration at 2666mhz

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/team...-channel-kit-grey-tdged416g300-my-089-tg.html

Then download the Bios and OC profiles from here, first one is AsRock Taichi second one ASUS CH6.

Boot up your chosen bundle with the Bios file from the download on a USB stick enter Bios and then go to either boards flashing utility using the easy to navigate UEFI. Go through the flash procedure and leave the board to reboot. It may do this several times as Microdcodes and firmware is updated. Then back into bios. Navigate to the boards OC profiels section and load the correct profile for your board again via USB pen. F10 and enter to reboot and the system is overclocked.

Check stability with Realbench or simply using your PC as you would normally. Adjust CPU Vcore as needed for stability with 1.45v being the top end value.

Any questions post back here.

Get your Ryzen 1700 smashes 1800X performance bundles using the links below, the AsRock motherboard will be back in stock 7/04/17 so orders will be shipped then.

INCLUDED COOLER PERFORAMNCE

On my Intel based bundles several customers have asked why I don't use for example the Corsair H100I. Below is a test of the cooler I have used in this bundle all be it on an intel platform with a 5.2g OC on Kabylake with 4K mems also running against the H100I. As you can see from the results the 8Pack bundled cooler is at least as good in terms of performance if not 1-2c better across all cores under the 1 Hour Realbench load. Before using this cooler in initial bundles I did do this testing now its time after these questions are being asked a lot to make it public....

Results for Corsair H100I

Results for 8Pack approved AIO cooler.

Paste is staying, everyone needs paste and this is the best!!! no cooler we are adding now. All those who choose this make sure they use 240 AIO or equivalent!!! Loaded Temps on asrock with included cooler around 60-65c.

Actually GSkill does not always pass training on reboot either. I ofcourse have for testing GSkill b die. Galax also b die does not always pass.

The mems in the bundle can do 3200 no issue but I can't support these frequencys with any mems right now as it's not a given it booting consistently on any board from cold.

So I guarantee 2666mhz which always works even with 32gn initially them when it's reliable at 3000-3200 I then guarantee exactly that.

But how many boards and cpu did u try?? I mean guys on this forum crack me up.

Try 10 boards 10 Cpu then maybe you have a decent sample size for passing comment.

No its not... I am simply to the point. No one is forcing you to read what I put.

Your dimms are b die so are my GSkill, Corsair Galax and Team ES. In general they have cold boot issue when you try say 10+ reboots. Stuck on 0d and F9 post codes.

I now use a 50 reboot programme for testing and several mains out reboots to qc as many complain if they get the odd cold boot issue. Once higher mem speeds across wide range of cpu amd vendors is working then I add them with full support.

gavinh87, most people don't seem to have issues, yeah, but I'm not one.

My G.Skill 3200-14-14-14-34 only boots up at 3200 periodically, and only on the third boot and only when I set the DDR boot voltage to 1.43v

A Windows restart fails completely tho, F9 then boot loop.

This is exactly why I can't 100% back these mem speeds yet RMA would be very high.

Good video for people that are new to PC Master Race rig building :) By looks of THE GUN's You not been skipping gym hehe.

ps. Why not 3200 dark pro kits just curious :)

The kits used can do 3200 easy.

Yeah gym is always top priority!!

I did not try any B350 seriously. VRM is very important to get the best out of this CPU in terms of OC. TWST tested some B350 with not much success for high end OC's.

For me this socket is around a long time so end users should if possible invest in the higher end boards and use for two cpu generations.

Yeah that case can fit the rad in the front so totally fine.

Sure yeah as soon as its available I will add a couple of bundles. Probably with similar boards and memory with 120mm AIO cooler as primary option.

Like I said previously with this platform makes sense to invest in a higher end motherboard as the socket has a long shelf life. Vrm quality also essential for oc on this platform. For me Taichi and Hero are the best two options currently for both effciency and mem support.

They don't test they guess....

Still higher mem dividers not working consistently. I tested upto date bios and 20+ reboots still not fully stable. Amd new Microdcode should fix this within 4 weeks.

Just start the gym train heavy with good form you will improve!!

The bundle I know the mems included work with all the Bios including current. I tested with 5+ kits of mems , two boards and several CPU. ...The guys system cant post at default which given my testing is not normal at all and not seen by any other customer buying the bundle. So maybe the memory sticks are faulty is what I am suggesting. General memory compatibility issues are indeed AMD's fault.

Now continue your training!!
