Just a quick q for anybody with any knowledge of mondeos. Bro in Law has been offered the aforementioned car for 50 quid, its done over 100k and has five months tax.

I know if a deal sounds too good to be true it usually is but just wondered what there is to look out for on these?

If it's got tax and mot, I'd snatch his hand off for that.

Worst case just scrap it and claim back the tax that's remaining and you've made a profit.

Oh, and the 2.0 engine seems pretty reliable at high milage. I purchased a 2.0 98 Mondeo (slightly different engine, but to all intents and purposes the same) and put about 10k on it. I sold it with 135k on the clock and it still ran sweet and never missed a beat.
