9800 GX2 to come with heat warnings.

I can imagine it, we gonna get to the stage one day were when the fans rev up we going to see flames coming from the rear. At least it saves having to buy a BBQ, and in the summer its going to be even hotter the uses for this GPU are endless tbh.

Folks may have trouble watercooling if it heats the water up past 100oC. :o

Edit: Then again, I suppose if it does boil the water, then you might be able to hook it up to a turbine to help power itself. Efficiency improvements!

I'm going to assume people have been touching the coolers in running machines, burning themselves and suing appropriately.

They gona fry the insides of your case's these, not gona be good for your temps, your CPU's are gona go through the roof, your cables will probably melt, your probably gona burn your fingers on your cases. :D :D

See here is another way the 9800GX2 will be Multi-Purpose, for people who use watercooling it will eliminate the need for a kettle.

Wonder how hot your DVI cables will get with these then, i know after a good hr or so gaming with my GT mines red hot, even the back of my case is around the card. :D :D

I guess, but the article itself is written with reasonable grammar. :p

Could quite possibly be an engrished Taiwanese graphics card AIB.

Could be Fud bull. It's either that or just another warning in a world scared of litigation.

e.g. Warning on a hair dryer "Do not use in shower"

So don't stack a bunch of stuff ontop of your 9800GX2 before you install into your system, as it might not work afterwards.

Yeh i regularly use my £200+ graphics cards as foundation for my stacks of books, dinner plates and or dumbells whatever shall i do now :D

Who cares? I had an nForce 2 motherboard where the NB heatsink got hot enough to burn on contact... nothing new.

hmm well, we're talking about a great big slab of metal thats too hot to touch, literally. its not some piddly little northbridge chip with a passive heatsink on it lol
