mates given me above graph card but pc boots up with 3 bleeps and no picture fans working but seems to b going to fast any ideas or is it knackered thanks.

3 short - Base 64K memory failure - A memory failure has occurred in the first 64K of RAM. The RAM IC is probably bad. Google is your friend 
Did the system work ok before you put the card in ? what was the other card ? what psu do you have ? system specs ?

pcs fine with other cards so think its card psu is 350w also is there any other cables that should power it as theres a 9 pin connection on it dunno what its for.the card is a 9800xxl.

how should it b connected theres no molex connector there is a white connector with nine pins but no molex

A 4 pin straight from your PSU to the back end female 4 pin.
If i remember correctly that is it's a long time since i ran one.
The back end should have a female 4 pin and the plastic is moulded so you can only put it in one way. Front end being the end that attaches to your vent slot back end being the end nearest the front of your case.

Should be a four pin molex connector. There must have been a lead that came with the card originally that converts from the 9 pin to a molex. Ask whoever you got the card from how he had it connected.
The 9800XXL is a weird one. I think it needs a 4 pin cable like the one that goes to the floppy drive.
