996 Turbos?

Those wife things are a menace, best to get them a horse and a building project on the go, then sneak out and buy cars :)

this one has serious multi tasking skills and I can't sneak anything by her :(

what sad under the thumb sadist invented joint accounts, and what even more moronic idiot signed up for one, anything for a quiet life?....

:( big big sad face smiley.

heres a great idea, get her added as an additional card holder on your CC. then your dd clears it every month.

four tyres on her golf... my cc. all the petrol we use, my cc

LOVE IT

a direct debit for £58,000 might spark her attention, and amex might question the payment requiring (I think) her involvement!

however I'm developing an entire alternate life, my new name is dennis mitchell and my life's ambition is to go on deal or no deal and drive a 997 turbo

more coffee?

Lovely as that is, its twice the price of a 996 and the same as a 997.

And they are getting old now especially the look of the interior.

I had a 993 cabriolet M8 ANT was the registration when it was 3 years old, and they were starting to seem old then, i couldnt have one now.

Specialist cars of Malton are great, especially the warranty, but the prices they charge are through the roof, i went up there twice for different cars but could never strike a deal. I dont care how much Zymol they use prepping them, it dosent equal the price.

yeah IMS = Death rattle, I thought the turbo suffered from it just as badly as the standard, not too sure so I'm off googling as we speak, not that the results will en/discourage me to buy one either way :p

Either way you just get an OPC warranty or subscribe to one of the various service plans and save the heart ache.

I havent bought one yet :p

but yes I wouldn't leave home without one, I've had a failed bottom end in the past and the noise is heartbreaking regardless of cover! sitting at traffic lights sounding like a combine harvester on gravel just isnt cricket :(

I'm still indecisive whether to get a 996 Turbo or 997 c2/4, in fact, I’m still debating whether spending so much on a car which isn’t quite comfy for me is a good idea... but then I look at them and all that indecision dissipates into an explosion in my boxers and I start scouring the web once again.

never consider things like comfort, residuals, economics, children, girlfriends/wives all those things will ruin your porsche purchasing power points. Just so you know your PPPP needs to be well over 1 to enable you to buy one without really thinking about it.

buy now pray later

You need to firmly apply the he who dares wins motto, with a good shot of the Dunkirk spirit :)

afaik the turbo / gt3 werent effected as the 996 GT3 / GT2 / Turbo used the titanium block from the 1998 GT1 racecar
