996 Turbos?

It's not a titanium block though it is from the GT1, which I believe started (and I am not 100% on this) in the 964. That block didn't suffer from RMS anywhere near the other block...well not until the 997 GT3 RS from what I can see, which seems to have the problem often based on my mates cars, oddly. Titanium bits did appear inside the GT3, conrods for example but had the block have been titanium I suspect the engine would have been £400K not £40K. :D

As above, the Turbo is based on a different block and doesn't have the saem RM oil seal and Internediate shaft issues as other models.
I have heard about the 997 GT3 seal issue too, but afaik we've only doen 2 I think.

We do seem to be rebuilding a few nowadays (not turbo) due to bore damage.

I'm still indecisive whether to get a 996 Turbo or 997 c2/4, in fact, I’m still debating whether spending so much on a car which isn’t quite comfy for me is a good idea... but then I look at them and all that indecision dissipates into an explosion in my boxers and I start scouring the web once again.

C4S ;)
